About this kids pack
Sky Watch Weather Lab is a two-page weather observation PDF for ages 6–10. Page 1, “Cloud ID and Sky Log,” has kids match four cloud types—cirrus (thin, wispy), cumulus (puffy), stratus (flat gray blanket), and cumulonimbus (tall storm tower)—then fill today’s observation boxes from a safe window: date, sky color, cloud type(s), wind (calm/breeze/strong), and rain yes/no. Page 2, “3-Day Weather Tracker,” logs morning and afternoon for three days with fields for AM sky, PM sky, temperature feel (cool/warm/hot), and notes, plus a prompt to compare whether wind changed with clouds. There is no single “right” weather; the note encourages looking for patterns such as dark clouds and rain risk. The pack builds noticing, recording, and comparing—not a seasons textbook. Print both pages and reuse the tracker across a short week of observations at home or in a classroom weather unit. Bring a pencil to the window; no special instruments required beyond what you already have at home for a simple feel of warm or cool air.
Designed for families and classrooms. Checkout runs through Paddle. After payment, you can download the print-ready PDF pack (2 letter-size pages) from the success page.
