About this kids pack
Mini Lab Experiment Cards is a two-page kitchen science PDF for ages 6–11. Page 1 (Set A) covers Sink or Float Sort—predict and test a grape, cork, coin, and crayon in a bowl of water—and Pepper Scatter Trick, where a soapy finger breaks surface tension on a pepper-covered plate. Each card lists materials, steps, a safety note, and a “What I Noticed” prompt. Page 2 (Set B) adds Rainbow Milk Swirl (milk, food color, dish soap, cotton swab) and Bag Balloon (vinegar, baking soda, bottle, balloon). Instructions ask for adult help with pouring and heat, and for a short hypothesis before each trial. An answer note summarizes expected outcomes: density varies by object, pepper scatters, milk colors swirl, and CO₂ inflates the balloon. The pack practices predicting, testing, and recording—not textbook chemistry. Print the two pages, work over a tray or sink, and fill the noticing lines after cleanup. Household materials only; no special lab gear.
Designed for families and classrooms. Checkout runs through Paddle. After payment, you can download the print-ready PDF pack (2 letter-size pages) from the success page.
