About this kids pack
Code Trail Unplugged is a two-page algorithm-thinking PDF for ages 7–12. Page 1, “Robot Path – Write the Code,” places Bot on a 5×5 grid. Kids write arrow moves (U, D, L, R) one square at a time from start to a star goal while avoiding X obstacles. One valid sample path is included for checking. Page 2, “Debug the Broken Trail,” shows a buggy arrow list (all rights) that fails. Solvers cross out wrong moves and rewrite a working path around obstacles from S to the star; an example fix is noted. The sheets practice sequencing, debugging, and clear instructions without a screen or prior coding knowledge. Caregivers can “run” a child’s path with a finger to test it. Print both pages for a write-then-debug session at a coding club offline day, homeschool STEM block, or camp station. Exactly two worksheets: one write mode and one debug mode—no app required.
Designed for families and classrooms. Checkout runs through Paddle. After payment, you can download the print-ready PDF pack (2 letter-size pages) from the success page.
