What Next? Critical Sheets is a two-page prediction PDF for ages 6–11. Page 1, “Predict the Next Panel,” gives two comics with panels 1–2 filled: Ball on the Hill (ball placed, then rolling) and Overfull Cup (drip to the brim). Kids draw or write panel 3 and explain why the ending makes sense. Page 2, “More Predictions + Talk It Out,” adds Magnet Meet (magnets sliding closer, opposite sides facing) and Tower Lean (lean plus one more block on the high side), then asks whether more than one good ending is possible. Sample ideas note ball reaches bottom, cup overflows, magnets snap together, tower falls—other defended endings are fine. The sheets reward evidence-based guessing and discussion, with light physics themes rather than heavy reading. Print both pages for a draw-or-write thinking session. Four comics total across two pages. Pair kids to swap papers and ask whether the partner’s ending still fits the first two panels.
