Math worksheets strengthen number facts, algorithms, and fluency under familiar school formats. Logic puzzles strengthen constraint handling, elimination, pattern spotting, and explaining why an answer must be true. Families need both skills across a school year—but mixing them in one tired evening packet often creates confusion and fatigue.

If your child already has math homework, adding more drills at night can feel like double school. Logic play can still exercise the brain without reopening the same wound. Scheduling both without overload

A workable pattern for many families is math on assigned homework nights and logic on lighter nights. Alternatively, alternate weeks during heavy testing seasons when school already saturates arithmetic. Write the plan where kids can see it so the choice does not feel arbitrary or like parental mood swings.
